A great beginning to the “pure pigment” medium, this workshop will load you up with information about this fantastic, richly colored medium, including methods, materials, resources and techniques. You’ll enjoy the morning demonstration, 2 1/2 hr. studio time, and will have plenty of personal instruction. You can bring photos you’d like to paint, and we’ll provide some too. An informal critique will follow the class, as well as information about framing and matting your finished work. Most students will take home finished artwork from this workshop. The class is designed for beginners, but if you have done pastels and don’t mind following the beginning program, you are welcome to join in! Register early – class size is limited.
A supply list will be provided to all registrants. Plan to spend $50.00 to $100.00 depending on the quality of pastels you purchase.
