For those with some painting experience, this two-day 8 hour workshop will show you how Abby creates her intriguing “aged” patina paintings which are now on exhibit at Sunbear. Bring a selection of favorite old (or new) photos to the first class and begin your painting on a wooden panel supplied by the instructor. During the second class you will transform your work into a vintage painting, using palette knives, paint, washes, glazes, and gels. It will seem the painting has been around for a century!
Bring any or all of the following paints: Payne’s grey, Burnt umber, Burnt sienna, Black and White. You will also need carbon/graphite paper for transferring your image onto the wood.
