Join Layli for an introduction to the ancient art of bookbinding.
In this 4 hour workshop you will learn: the best leather and paper to use and where to get them, how to properly cut and fold the paper, punch holes in the leather, and sew in your pages using the long stitch binding method. You will leave class with a beautiful leather journal hand bound by you, perfect for your writing or art. A lovely gift for a friend or family.
All supplies will be provided by the instructor and are included in the fee.
Layli Lukeman has been binding journals and studying bookbinding for 4 years. She has taught several classes, studied at the American Academy of Bookbinding and has done much independent study.
